On Sundays, it`s a church...on weekdays, it`s a school. In two weeks Northview Christian Church will become an academy for Kindegarten through third grade students...so far they`ve enrolled twenty five students. Their goal is much higher. According to Cindy Henexson, Bible College Adminstrator, their mission is to teach about Bible and how to learn and live Bible, but in addition, give solid foundation subject matters such as writing, arts, dance, music, and karate that is not normally taught in a public school setting.
Officials say the idea of a Christian School came from their pastor...they wanted to provide students with the very best educational programs.
This is the first year to open the academy for younger students, however they also offer educational programs for college seeking students. They offer a Bible College, Bibilical education for anyone over 18, GED, and anyone interested in a Biblical based education.
If you would like to enroll your child in the academy, call 334-678-0404, or go by the church itself, located at 233 Bic Road in Dothan.
