FORT RUCKER CHANGE OF COMMAND

Flags were flying high as people piled into Fort Rucker this morning to attend the "change of command" ceremony... Major General John "Mark" Curran, the Commanding General of the Army`s Aviation Center and Fort Rucker Center and Fort Rucker, has been appointed by the President to Lieutenant General. Brigadier General Edward Sinclair, the Deputy Commanding General and Assistant Commandant at Fort Rucker will assume command from Curran and become the 10th Aviation Branch Chief. The ceremony took place on Howze Parade field on Main Post. Promotion of Curran to Lieutenant General is expected in 2004.
