Updated: January 7, 2009
A construction crew working near John D Odom Road and Whatley Drive intersection has found a skull and other remains. Police spent Tuesday combing through the brushy area looking for additional evidence in the case. Police Captain Steve Parrish says foul play is suspected given the circumstances already known in the case but would not speculate on the identity of the victim. Parrish said the body was very decomposed but was hoping dental records could be match to determine the identity. Speculation is the body could be that of a young woman missing several years from a north Dothan neighborhood but Parrish said "it`s too early to speculate." Several agencies are assisting in the investigation that is only about 1/2 mile behind Flowers Hospital.
