Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn softball team will host the Florida State Seminoles Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. CT.

Auburn is 20-10 overall this season, while Florida State is 23-9. The Seminoles lead the series against the Tigers with a 12-7-1 record. Auburn has won the last four meetings, however, including a 5-3 game in the last meeting between the teams in 2011.

"Florida State is off to a good start this season," Auburn head coach Tina Deese said. "They have a couple of pitchers who are each over 100 strikeouts this season. We have our work cut out for us, coming off a tough series against Georgia this weekend and now getting ready for another tough opponent."

The Seminoles have been led in the circle by Monica Perry and Lacey Waldrop. Perry is 12-6 with a 1.60 ERA in 100.1 innings of work. Perry has a team-best 123 strikeouts and has issued just 16 walks. Waldrop is 10-3 with a 1.49 ERA in 89.0 innings. Waldrop has 110 strikeouts and has walked 21 batters.

Offensively, Florida State has been led by Courtney Senas and Kelly Hensley who have each hit nine home runs and have 33 RBI. Senas leads FSU with a .380 batting average, while Hensley is hitting .351.

Auburn is coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of No. 25 Georgia this past weekend. The Tigers are 5-5 in the last 10 games but have played a pair of ranked teams in that span, including No. 4 Florida.

Sophomore Morgan Estell leads the Southeastern Conference with 37 runs scored this season and is third in the league with 21 walks. Sophomore Branndi Melero leads the Tigers with six home runs and a .442 batting average.

The Tigers and Seminoles can be heard in Auburn on WEGL 91.1 FM and online, along with live stats, at www.auburntigers.com.
