Ervin "Marlin" Still

Ervin "Marlin" Still, a resident of Cowarts, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Graceville. He was 81.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 at Cowarts Baptist Church with Rev. Coley M. Holloway and Rev. Johnny Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Cowarts Baptist Church Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:30 on Friday prior to service time.

Mr. Still was born on August 26, 1931 in Webb, Alabama to Clifton and Mollie Still and later moved to Cowarts where he lived the remainder of his life. He was an avid fisherman and also loved gardening. Mr. Still was a member of Cowarts Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for more than 30 years.
He is predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Robbie Still; brothers and sisters, K.P. Still, Geraldine Holmes, Horace Still and Sidney Hall.
Survivors include two children, Steve Still (Beverly) of Dothan and Gina Still of Cowarts; a sister, Mary Blackshear (Pete) of Cowarts; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
