Carolyn Dianne Poole Givens, 59, of Cottonwood, Al, died Sunday, March 3, 2014, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in Clearman Chapel of Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Reverend W.W. Givens and Reverend Karl Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Ramah Primitive Baptist Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday prior to the services and at other times will be at the residence of the son, Jeff Givens, 119 Della Mar Drive, Headland, AL.
Born in Donaldsonville, Georgia, Dianne was a daughter of the late Andrew Rudolph and Gwendolyn Love Poole. She worked as a bus driver for the Henry County School System and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Cottonwood.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Givens was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby LaDon Poole.
Surviving are her husband, James Robert "Bobby" Givens, Cottonwood; two sons, Robert Jeffery (Brooke) Givens, Headland, Al; Andrew Jay (Kellie) Givens, Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX; a brother, Andy (Tammy) Poole, Cottonwood, Al; three grandchildren, Analeigh Givens, Mark Givens and Mary Givens; a special Cousin, Louise Snell.
