Katie Jackson Batchelor, 57, giving wife and mother, went home to join the Lord Feb. 28, 2013 while at her residence in Dothan. She was born April 25, 1955 to Fred and Ida Mae Jackson of Ashford, AL.
Mrs. Batchelor served the medical community of Dothan for many years as a transcriptionist, until she was no longer able to do so. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, and friend.
She was survived by her loving husband Sidney Earl Batchelor; two sons, Samuel K. Batchelor and wife, Tammy and Mark Thompson and wife Kim; three daughters, Lori Anne Danford, Amanda Lewis and husband, Devin, and Hannah Mae Cook and husband, Toby; eight grandchildren, and a very special Aunt Mary Roberts of Southern Florida.
Services will be held 2 pm, Monday, March 4, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Keener Batchelor officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashford City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
