Funeral services were held in Dothan Friday for a mother and child murdered in Huntsville this past weekend. Family and friends gathered from all over the world to honor two lives that were cut short.

Mother and son, 32-year-old Krista Anne Stone and 7-year-old Zachary London Stone were strangled by their husband and father. Stephen Marc Stone surrendered a few hours after the killing and police say both died after being strangled to death.

Family and friends leaned on one another and focused on the happiness the two lives left behind. Life-long friend, Janet Glanville said Krista was loved by all. "Everyone who knew Krista knew that she was a beautiful woman inside and out, she had an amazing way with words, and she walked in love, faith, hope and grace. She loved her children with wild abandon as she joyfully sacrificed for them," continued Glanville.

Stone has been charged with two counts of capital murder. If convicted he could be sentenced to death.
