Roby to lead Southern Region for NRCC in 2014 Cycle

The National Republican Congressional Committee today announced that Representative Martha Roby (R-AL) will serve as Southern Regional Chairman and will lead the Committee's digital, finance and political efforts in the South for the 2014 election cycle.
"The House of Representatives is the last line of defense standing between the American people and President Obama's big-government, tax-and-spend agenda," Rep. Roby said. "It is as important as ever that we retain and grow our House Republican Majority so we can begin the work of repairing the economic damage caused by the President and his policies. I'm honored to be selected to lead our Southern efforts and excited about the opportunities in 2014."
NRCC Chairman Greg Walden (R-Oregon) thanked Rep. Roby for her commitment to growing a GOP majority.
"I am pleased to have Congressman Martha Roby serving as the Southern Regional Chair for the 2014 election cycle," Chairman Walden said. "Martha is a true champion for conservative values in the House, and I know that she will make a strong addition to our team as we work to strengthen and build upon our majority."
Chairman Walden named Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) as Regional Vice Chair of the NRCC, and tasked her with overseeing all regional efforts nationwide. Rep. Roby's fellow regional chairs will be:
