Katherine "Kat" Childs Kelley

Katherine "Kat" Childs Kelley, 93, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, died Wednesday February 20, 2013 after a long illness.

Graveside services will be held Sunday February 24, 2013 at 2 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Hartford, Alabama with Rev. Paul Ferrell officiating and Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Hartford directing.

Kat was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jimmy T. Kelley, her parents, Arcus and Mattie Z. Childs, sisters Floy (Buck) Harris, Fay (Pat) Smith, brothers Joe (Sybil) Childs, Jack (Annie Laurie) Childs and Grandson Robert Paul McElhaney.

Kat is survived by her daughters Judy (Dennis) Simons, East Lansing, Michigan, Susan (Doug) Gjertson, Harker Heights, Texas, and sons, Arcus (Anne) Kelley, Woodenville, Washington, James (Sheila) Kelley, Panama City Beach, Florida, , 7 Grand Children and 7 Great-Grand Children.
