The National Weather Service is projecting a wet weekend, and that's causing some worry in Geneva County.

The county was hit hard during the storm on February 12, seeing almost ten inches of rain in some areas.

Roads were damaged and homes flooded, and the county has been busy repairing the damages since then.

County engineers expect up to eight inches this weekend and are preparing for the worst.

"We are making sure that our ditches that are still holding water are opened up get the water drained out," said Justin Barfield, a Geneva County Engineer.  "We are just trying to get the pass opened up to flow down to your cross drains and creeks."

More than 20 roads were washed out from flooding, 14 of those roads are still shut down and Barfield said this weekend's rain could cause the others to be washed out again.
