Mrs. Nell White Lamb McArthur passed away Monday, February 18, 2013. She was 95.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, February 21, 2013, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ricky Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday, February 21, 2013, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. McArthur was a member of the former Springfield Free Will Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a great cook who loved her family, friends and enjoyed laughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Hudson Lamb and Estelle Fulton Lamb, five brothers, two sisters, her first husband, Royal Odell White, Sr,, second husband, Earl McArthur, one daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Richard Grant.
Survivors include son, Royal Odell White, Jr. and his wife, Joanne of Miami, FL; daughter, Nancy Jacobs and her husband, Frank of Miami, FL; sister, Lucille Lamb of Ashford; grandchildren, Michael White (Randi), Jeffery White (Dawn), Michelle Chao (Joe), Marguax Schindler; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
