Tip off for the Alabama High School Association South Regional Basketball Tournament is Tuesday morning at 9.  It's the largest basketball tournament to ever be held in Dothan. The Circle City will host 24 girls' basketball teams along with 24 boy's teams.

It's a five day event with up to eight games being played a day. The tournament will be held at the Dothan Civic Center.

Monday crews were busy finishing the last minute details. The court was laid, goals and bleachers were set up and ready to go.

Outside the Civic Center fencing has been set up around the parking lot. Dothan Leisure Services Assistant Director Larry Patrick said, many parking spaces are already reserved for game day officials and the competing teams. "Parking will be a bit of a challenge because everyone will not be able to park in the Civic Center, but we have additional parking and we've got signage which will help our patrons get to those areas." continued Patrick.

Before the Alabama's South Regional Tournament moved to Dothan, Mobile and Troy were the host cities. Dothan has secured the south regional tournament for the next six years.
