Michelle Lewis Joiner, a resident of Dothan, died Monday evening, February 11, 2013, in a Dothan hospital. She was 43.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Terriel Andrews and Reverend Henry Alexander Joiner officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. Friday at the mortuary in Headland.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Chapel Community Church, c/o Cheryl Bell, 8510 County Road 54, Skipperville, AL 36374.
Mrs. Joiner was a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, having moved to Dothan in 1987. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank C. and Margaret Roberts.
Surviving relatives include her husband of twenty-four years, Kenny Joiner, Jr., Dothan; a son, Devon Joiner, Dothan; her mother, Patricia R. Carr and husband, John, Greensboro, NC; numerous aunts and uncles including, a great-aunt, Hilda Jean; mother-in-law, Mary Joiner, Echo; father-in-law, Kenneth Auston Joiner, Sr., Midland City; sisters-in-law, Kathy Joiner, Echo; Karen Bostick, Newville; and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Kenny Joiner, Devon Joiner, John Carr, Matthew Bostick, Dennis Trawick, and Terry Wilson.
