Reports of "Loud Explosion" at Midland City Hostage Situation Scene

Reports from the scene in Midland City are that Jimmy Lee Dykes is dead, and young Ethan has been transported to Flowers Hospital for a medical evaluation.

The child is reported to be safe and a press conference is forthcoming.

According to WDHN's Kevin Presley, there was a loud noise, supposedly an explosion, then a "flurry of activity" before the media was told of a press conference to come with information on the situation.
