Jonathan Tullos was announced Thursday as the new Executive Director of Economic Development for Coffee and Geneva Counties.

Tullos said he plans to hit the ground running, making the Wiregrass an attractive place for businesses to invest. He said his focus will be the auto and aerospace industries over the next few years, but he's not ruling out any potential industry.

Tullos said Alabama is a state that rewards business owners and it's a state designed for growth.  "I think that it's going to make it extremely attractive for industries looking at a place to go. I think Alabama is at the top of the list and I think we need to strategically position ourselves and this part of the Wiregrass to be at the top of the list in Alabama," continued Tullos.

The mayors of Enterprise and Geneva both said Tullos will help build a stronger partnership and create bigger opportunities for the Wiregrass.
