Mary Helen Nowell, a resident of Avon, died Wednesday January 23, 2013 at her residence. She was 64.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery with Brother Frank Wood officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, January 25, 2013 from 6 PM until 8 PM.
Mary was born March 23, 1948 on Ozark Alabama to Leon D. Osteen and Doris Reynolds. She will be remembered as a great and loving woman that was generous and kind.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Doris and Cecil Howell, Avon; son and daughter in law, Donald Nowell and Penny, Ashford; daughter and son in law, Amy and Mike Oster, Avon; grandchildren, Derek Nowell, Patricia Nowell, Gabrielle Nowell and Joseph Hanks; brothers, Danny Osteen, Michigan and Tommy Howell, Dothan; several nieces and nephews.
