Carol Denise "NeNe"
Peacock of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, January
23, 2013 at Southeast
Alabama Medical Center. She was
60.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday,
January 25, in Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Hall and Rev. C. M.
Holloway officiating. Burial will follow
in Shiloh Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive
friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m.
Denise was born on December 28, 1952 in Montgomery, AL
to Mrs. Betty Jean Varner Peacock and the late J. W. Peacock. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist
Church. She was a member of the 1971
graduating class of Geneva County High School.
She also earned a degree in computer science from Wallace College. She was employed at Fort
Rucker.
Her father as well as her sister, Larese Peacock,
preceded her in death.
Survivors include her
mother: Betty Jean Peacock of Slocomb;
one brother: Cornel Peacock (Sue) of
Wicksburg; two nieces: Jessica Mitchell
(Jeremy) and Layne Peacock; one nephew:
Paxton Peacock; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
