Charles Herman Barnett

Mr. Charles Herman Barnett, age 72, a Henry County resident for approximately 9 years, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 at his residence after a brief illness.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Gateway Church, 1641 State Highway 134 West, Headland, AL with Pastor Ruth Jones officiating.
Mr. Barnett was born on May 14, 1940 in Mineral Springs, AL the son of the late William Preston and Mary Elizabeth Robinson Barnett. He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School, Montgomery in 1958 and worked as a typesetter for the Dothan Eagle.
Mr. Barnett is preceded in death by his parents and son, Martin Alan Barnett.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Douglas Barnett, Columbia; one daughter, Candace Ray, Columbia; one son, David Barnett (Jane), Clanton; one granddaughter, Haley Johnson (Connor), Columbus, GA; three grandsons, Johnny Ray and Nathan Ray of Cullman and Ryan Wilbanks, Birmingham; and one great-grandchild, Kyleigh Johnson.
