Zelda W. Crumpler

Mr. Zelda W. Crumpler, 87 of Enterprise died on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at his home after a short illness. 

             Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Enterprise. Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 until 7pm.

              In lieu of flowers, the family asked that a tax deductible memorial gift be made to Cattle for Christ International, 4125 County Rd 636, Enterprise, AL 36330 or to the Enterprise YMCA.

                 Zelda was born in Coffee County to the late Tullius L. and Gussie Watkins Crumpler. He spent his 43 year career as a banker with the Enterprise Banking Company. He was also an avid fisherman and a dedicated member of the YMCA fitness center. He was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Enterprise.

                 Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruby Speigner Crumpler, Enterprise, AL,daughters: Sue Crumpler, Frankfort, KY, Linda Phillips (Eddie), Enterprise,  sons: David Crumpler (Jamie), Elizabeth City, N.C.,  Charles Crumpler (Leigh), Birmingham, AL., brother: Wayne Crumpler, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
