The Philadelphia Eagles introduced Chip Kelly as head coach at a press conference this afternoon.
The first thing he said he was going to do was put together a staff and it seems he is interested in Georgia's Todd Grantham and Alabama's Kirby Smart for his defensive coordinator vacancy.
Longtime Philadelphia TV/radio reporter, Howard Eskin tweeted, "I'm told #eagles Chip Kelly hired oregon Asst HC Jerry Azzinaro as eag DL coach. Todd grantham georia and kirby Smart alabama int 4 DC's."
Kelly spent the last four years at Oregon where he led the Ducks to four consecutive BCS bowl games.
Both Grantham and Smart have NFL experience. The Bulldogs defensive coordinator spent 11 seasons in the pros before going to Georgia in 2010, while Smart served as the safeties coach in Miami in 2006 under Nick Saban.
