Football's January Enrollees Begin Classes at Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama announced nine student-athletes have begun classes at the University and will be eligible to participate in spring practice with the Crimson Tide in 2013.

The January enrollees include quarterback Cooper Bateman (Murray, Utah/Cottonwood), offensive lineman Leon Brown (Riverdale, Md./Parkdale/ASA College), Luke Del Rio (QB/Highlands Ranch, Colo./Valor Christian), wide receiver Raheeem Falkins (New Orleans, La./G.W. Carver), running back Derrick Henry (Yulee, Fla./Yulee), offensive lineman Brandon Hill (Collierville, Tenn./St. George's/Hargrave Military Academy), tight end O.J. Howard (Prattville, Ala./Autauga Academy), quarterback Parker McLeod (Marietta, Ga./Walton) and defensive back Jai Miller (DB/Valley Grande, Ala./Selma).

Two of the highest-ranked prospects include Henry and Howard. Henry is a five-star prospect that is ranked as the No. 1 athlete by ESPN.com and 247Sports and the No. 4 running back by and Scout.com. He is ninth in the ESPN150 and 12th in the Top247. Howard is the No. 1 tight end nationally by Rivals.com, 247Sports and Scout.com while ranking second by ESPN. He is No. 7 in the Rivals100, 20th in the Top247 and 45th in the ESPN150.
