Margaret Marie "Peg" Patterson

Margaret Marie "Peg" Patterson, 85, of Dothan passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 16, 2013 at St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. There will be a prayer service at 5 pm Monday and the family will receive friends following until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Patterson was born June 24, 1927 in Donora, PA and she resided the early years of her life there. Mrs. Patterson moved to Washington, DC during World War II where she worked at Walter Reid Hospital until marrying the late Dr. Alan M. Patterson in 1948. Mrs. Patterson moved to Dothan where she resided most of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.

Survivors include her eight children, Peggy (Milner) Hanahan, Alana Simmons, Alan Patterson, Jr., Candace Patterson, Robyn (Steve) Norman, Mark (Pam) Patterson, Kirk Patterson and Scot Patterson; her grandchildren, Milner Hanahan, Marion Hanahan, Adrianne Hayes, Neil Simmons, Alan Patterson, III, Candace Marie Hart Goodwin, Benjamin Norman, Paul Wesley Norman, Mark Alan Patterson, Jr., Travis Patterson and Scotlyn Patterson; great-grandchildren, Angelique Hays, Schyler Hays, Matthew Hays, Cristanne Goodwin, Garret Goodwin, Ryder Goodwin, Alexandria Norman, Grace Norman and Ian Norman.
