Sylvia Jenkins Forehand

Mrs. Sylvia Jenkins Forehand formerly of Cottonwood passed away Friday, January 11, 2013, at Signature Healthcare in Graceville, Fl. She was 84.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, January 14, 2013, at Hodgesville Baptist Church with Reverends Don Tew and Mark Bristow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday, January 14, 2013, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Hodgesville Baptist Church Building Fund, 11190 S. County Rd 33, Dothan, AL 36301.
Mrs. Forehand was an active member of Hodgesville Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Ashford for fifty years and an active member of the Red Hats Society of Hodgesville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elward Neal Forehand, parents, Leonard Dock Hayes and Betty Jenkins Hayes, daughter, Freida, sister, Delois Johnson, and brother, Royster Hayes.
Survivors include her daughter, Becky Tew and her husband, Reverend Don Tew of Cottonwood; son, Ashley Forehand and his wife, Mary Ann of Cottonwood; sisters, Joyce Day of Milton, FL; Farris Swindle and her husband, Marvin E. of Silver Creek, MS; grandchildren, Katie Long (Michael), Julie Forehand, Ava Rae Tew, Zack Tew, great-grandchildren, Cynthia Quattlebaum and Collier Long, and several nieces and nephews.
