Marion C. Strickland Wilson

Mrs. Marion C. Strickland Wilson of Geneva, Alabama went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 9, 2013. She was 76.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time.

Mrs. Wilson was born September 15, 1936, in Marion County, Florida. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with the heart of a servant. She always put the needs of others before her own. She was a member of the Elba Assembly of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Marion Patricia Fitch, as well as three brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Rev. William Jonathon Wilson, Geneva; one son, William Edward Wilson (Joan), Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren: Lisa Fitch Griffin (Gregory), Dallas, TX, Justin Paul Wilson, Ruthanna Wilson and Ian Wilson, all of Atlanta, GA, and Jessica D. Wilson, Ocala, FL; two great-grandsons: Gregory Cade Griffin and Jackson Paul Griffin, Dallas, TX; other extended family and friends.
