Mr. Jay Dale Byrd of Daleville, AL passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 in Medical Center Enterprise. He was 74.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise. Burial will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 until 8 pm.
Mr. Byrd was born April 14, 1938 in Griffithsville, West Virginia to the late Ezra Albert and Elsie Lovie Stowers Byrd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George W. Byrd.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Byrd, Daleville; 4 sons: Jerry Dale Byrd (Cathie), Enterprise, AL, Jarrell Ezra Byrd (Dolly), Indiana, James Edward Byrd, Texas, Ricky Lee Byrd (Gayle), Enterprise, AL; 1 sister, Eloise Elaine Guther, West Virginia; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
