James Alton (Buck) Adams

Mr. James Alton (Buck) Adams of Enterprise, AL passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.  He was 80 years old.

            Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 29, 2012 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise with Rev. Hollis Bradley and Rev. Marcus Ramer officiating.  Burial with full military honors will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5pm until 7 pm.

            Mr. Adams was born September 29, 1932 in Paxton, Florida to the late James Oscar and Viola Cooper Adams.  He was retired from the United States Air Force.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Young and a brother, Roy Adams.

            Survivors include his wife, Ann Adams, Enterprise; 2 daughters: Rebecca Cockrell (Randy), Montgomery, AL, Kimberly Bennett (Robert), Kennesaw, GA; 2 sons: Mike Archie (Lee), Luverne, AL, Bruce Archie (Donald), Midland City, AL; 1 sister, Nava Jo Knight (Bobby), Opp, AL; 3 grandchildren: Megan, Morrigan, Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
