Jim Edwin Windham

Jim Edwin Windham of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, December 14, 2012, at his home. He was 79.
Jim was born in New Brockton, AL, January 20, 1933. He was the son of the late Maggie Stewart and Walton Edwin Windham. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Enterprise. Jim worked at Redstone Arsenal with the NASA space program. Also, as a mechanical engineer with IBM, Jim worked in the office products division. After retirement from IBM, he taught at Troy University in the Geology Dept. He was a land owner and called himself a "Pine Tree Farmer".
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 17, 2012, at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Sonny Moore officiating. Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM. Survivors include his wife, Joye P. Windham; son, Stan Windham (Carol); 2 grandsons, Matt (Rachel) and Mark.
