Gladys Cain Griswold

Mrs. Gladys Cain Griswold of Enterprise, AL passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 in Enterprise.  She was 91.

            Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise with Rev. Kerry Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Enterprise City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time.

            Mrs. Griswold was born December 11, 1921 in Newton, Alabama to the late Will and Lovie Griswell DeShazo.  She was retired from banking after 32 years of service.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Mrs. Griswold was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

            Survivors include her husband, Aubrey Griswold, Enterprise; 3 step daughters: Becky Averett (Steve), Libby Barker (Bill), all of New Brockton, AL, and Tammy Griswold, San Antonio, TX; 1 sister, Violet Frith, Perry, FL; 3 step grandchildren: Dale Averett (Deanna), Kyle and Katie Kelley; nieces and nephews.
