Wesley A. Davis

Mr. Wesley A. Davis of New Brockton, AL passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012.  He was 88.

            Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the New Brockton First Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Sims officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1 pm until service time.  Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the New Brockton First Baptist Church, 105 E. McKinnon St., New Brockton, AL 36351.

            Mr. Davis was born September 3, 1924 in Barron County, Wisconsin to the late Percy and Verna Davis.  He served in the US Army and was a retired welder from Dorsey Trailers.  He was a faithful member of the New Brockton First Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine Stuckey Davis.

            Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Deb and Scotty Yarbrough, Enterprise; his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Rhonda Davis, New Brockton; 4 grandchildren: Blake Davis (Krysti), Trevor Davis (Dana), Shane Yarbrough (Mandy) and Megan Wilks (Clint); and 9 great-grandchildren.
