Dothan Fire Leaves One Dead

By: Staff Reports
Updated: December 9, 2012
A woman died early Sunday, almost certainly from smoke inhalation after her home caught fire. The body of Marjorie Hill, 56, of 105 Condon Road was found by Dothan firefighters who responded to the blaze.

A release from Fire Chief Larry Williams said the home was a total loss and foul play is not suspected in the death of Ms. Hill.  Chief Williams added, "Our thoughts are with this family during this very difficult time."

Williams notes proper preparations often saves lives.  "Early notification and having an exit plan to evacuate yourself and others is paramount," adds Chief Williams.
