Retired Capt. John W. Givens of Dothan passed away Monday, October 29, 2012. He was 59.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Thursday, November 1, 2012, one hour prior to the service.
