Nolan Burks, a resident of Rehobeth, died Sunday, September 16, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 64.
Funeral services for Mr. Burks will be held at 11 AM Friday, September 21, 2012 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverend Brad Richards officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church cemetery in Glenwood, Alabama with Southern Heritage directing.
Mr. Burks was born August 26, 1948 in Brantley, Alabama to J.W. and Dotsie Idel Legg Burks. He retired after 30 years as a machinist and was a jack of all trades.
Survivors include his wife, Marvette Burks, Rehobeth; son, Joshua Nolan Burks, Rehobeth; daughter and son in law, Telesia Riley and her husband, Joe, Rehobeth; eight grandchildren, Tyler Sims, Sasha Riley, Hunter Riley, Ryder Riley, Dylan Burks, Jadyen and Dakota Riley and Khloe Burks; brother, Jack Burks, Pensacola, FL.
