Georgia Elizabeth Weeks

Mrs. Georgia Elizabeth Weeks of Kinston passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at her home. She was 89. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Lowery Church of Christ with Mister Robert Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Lowery Community Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lowery Community Cemetery Fund, 1724 Lowery Road, Kinston, AL 36453.

Mrs. Weeks was born in Lowery, AL on July 30, 1923 to the late Franklin and Allie Dale Whigham Harrison. Mrs. Georgia was known throughout the community for her famous homemade butter and buttermilk. She loved to work in her garden and her yards, she also loved going to church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Houston Weeks; five brothers and six sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Myra Schnepp (Ken) of Kinston, and Tina Wilson (Tommy) of Prattville, AL; two grandchildren, Mark Wilson (Heather), and Ryan Wilson (Alyssa) all of Prattville, AL; five great grandchildren, Kelby, Kelton, Kayln, Jorja Beth, Cody Jack Wilson all of Prattville, AL; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
