New Developments for Mayer Electric Building

The old Mayer Electric Building on Foster Street may not be vacant much longer and there are two options of new developments.

The E-9-1-1 Advisory Board met to discuss making the Mayer Building into a Communications Center to house 9-1-1 dispatchers.

The board unanimously voted to approve an engineering firm to evaluate the property to see if it would meet its needs.

If the $6500 evaluation returns results saying the building is not feasible for a communications center then the board will consider using the building for a storm shelter.
