Mary Ruth Cox, of Headland, died Monday, August 6, 2012,at her residence. She was 92.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Rodgers and Brian Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A. M. Thursday, August 9, 2012, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. Cox was born October 10, 1919, in Houston County, Alabama. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Foy Wright and Zodie Dubose Wright, husband, D.C. Cox, and a son, Joel Cox.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Holloway and her husband, Warren of Headland; sister, Foy Hammack of Albany, GA; grandchildren, Mary Beth Holloway, Brian Holloway, Grace Anne Holloway, and several nieces and nephews.
