Ozark is only months away from a new state of the art high school. Construction on the new Carroll High School is ahead of schedule.
The exterior is nearly complete and crews are now working on the inside. Paint is on the wall, light fixtures are up, and stair wells are in place.
Despite Tuesday's rain, construction crews were still hard at work.
August students will start school in the old Carroll High, but by spring they will move in to the new school.
The school system is saving Carroll's old gym. That will be turned into a new athletic center.
The rest of the school will be demolished and used as a parking lot.
Construction should be complete by March 2013.
