South Carolina Quarterback Arrested

Tanner McEvoy, a reserve quarterback for the South Carolina Gamecocks was taken into custody on Sunday in North Carolina for speeding and driving after consuming while under age 21.

He was released later that day on $250 bond.

North Carolina law does not allow persons under 21 to operate a motor vehicle if they have consumed any alcohol.

A university spokesman said McEvoy has been suspended from the Gamecocks football program because he violated team policy.
