Need School Supplies? Here's How to Get Help.

Many of you have reached out to us asking where you can receive help with school supplies.
Wdhn's Megan Hunter spent the day in your shoes, going through a school supply list and finding out just how much the average parent spends.
What she found was that a typical elementary school supply list cost around $100.
A number of parents say
it's difficult to stomach, including Ashley Pearson, who is a mom of three and
no stranger to these fears.
She said she has seen the amount needed for
supplies continue to grow each year.
"As a mother, I love my children and would do anything for them. But I want them to have the best but it's hard to do sometimes."
David Duke, who works for Wiregrass 211, said the organization can help.
"We would love for them to contact us and we can put them in touch with the organizations that can give them the help they need," said Duke.
211 is also asking those who want to donate supplies to call them.
The organizations who give out supplies also need people to donate to help to meet demands.
