Merle M. Ross, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday morning, July 26, 2012 at Extendicare. She was 98.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Grandstaff and Rev. Stacy Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Dothan City Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:15 on Saturday prior to service time.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 423 E. Cottonwood Rd, Dothan, AL 36301.
Mrs. Ross was born on January 10, 1914 in Houston County. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church for many years.
Mrs. Ross is predeceased by her husband, Hugh Ross and two children, Jim Ross and Nancy Greene.
Survivors include four children, Marsha Ann McNabb of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Hugh Michael Ross (Gloria) of Kathleen, Georgia, Thomas B. Ross (Jane) of Dothan and Beth Yates of Dothan.
