Wilma Luverne Lewis Powell

Mrs. Wilma Luverne Lewis Powell of Dothan died Sunday, July 15, 2012, She was 86.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Harden officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Madrid Assembly of God Building Fund.
Mrs. Powell was a member of Madrid Assembly of God Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Harrison Lewis and Annie Graves Lewis, husband, Albert Powell, brother, Willie D. Lewis, and son-in-law, Ken Merritt.
Survivors include daughters, Dianne Merritt of Ace, Texas; Carolyn McKenzie and her husband, Larry of the Madrid Community; son, Billy Powell and his wife, Lucille of the Madrid Community; sisters, Merlene Register of Dothan; Glenda McDaniel and her husband, Bill of Dothan; Jewell Berry and her husband, Joe of Dothan; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
