Updated: June 25, 2012

On the morning of June 24, Officers with the Enterprise Police Department responded to a burglary at the Sessions Company located at 801 N. Main Street.

A Sessions employee advised officers that someone had broken into the maintenance shop and taken a generator.

A 1994 Dodge truck belonging to the company was also missing from the grounds. While the officers were on scene, another Sessions employee spotted the Dodge truck near Alberta Street and followed it onto Donald Street where the driver abandoned the truck and fled into the woods.

Officers were subsequently able to identify the driver of the truck as Aaron Lovay Smith, 36, of 514 North Rawls Street, Enterprise.

Several tools and the missing generator were also recovered. Smith was located at a residence a short time later by officers and arrested. Smith has been charged with receiving stolen property in the first degree.
