Hazel Kelly Armstrong Bush

Hazel Kelly Armstrong Bush, a resident of Kinsey, died Wednesday night, June 20, 2012, in Westside Terrace. She was 89.

            Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 22, 2012, in the Kinsey Cemetery with Reverend Ted Forrester officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, Alabama 36303.

            Mrs. Bush was a lifelong resident of Kinsey, daughter of the late Ulysses Byrd Kelly and Elizabeth McIntyre Kelly. She was a member of Kinsey Baptist Church.  Mrs. Bush was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Woodrow Armstrong and Thomas Ray Bush and all her sisters and brothers.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Wanda Armstrong DeShazo and husband, Jerry, Headland; a son Joe P. Armstrong and wife, Priscilla Armstrong, Ashford; seven grandchildren Paula G. Dickerson, Joe Paul Armstrong (Sheila), Marla Rice (Shawn), Mark Armstrong, J. Michael DeShazo (Traci), Wendy Strickland (Neil) and Mark DeShazo (Kerri); eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
