The Dothan School Board Monday night voted to hire Chris Shaw as Northview High School's new principal.  He comes from the central school office in Hoover, Alabama.

According to an article in the Birmingham News, Shaw was appointed the system's director of planning less than four months ago.  He previously served as principal of Spain Park High School in the Birmingham area.

Dothan School Superintendent Tim Wilder calls Shaw a great hire, pointing to what he calls an excellent resume.

Shaw replaces Ron Snell whose contract was not renewed by the board.
