James David Forister

James David Forister of Tuscaloosa, AL, formerly of Daleville, AL, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 in Tuscaloosa. He was 83.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Clay Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Mr. Forister was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Hollis Forister, his parents, Robert and Ruby Forister, a brother, Glenn Forister, son-in-law, Jimmy Pirkle and a sister-in-law, D. D. O'Rear.

Survivors include three daughters, Debra Pirkle, New Brockton, AL; Terri Ogletree (Jim) Marietta, GA; Sharon Poole (Jim) Columbus, GA; son, David Forister (Phoebe) Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Wilma Lee Brackner (Charles) Brookwood, AL; Addine Ramsey (Gerald) Tuscaloosa, AL; brother-in-law, Bert Smith, Leeds, AL; six grandchildren, Taylor Pirkle (Sarah) Enterprise, AL; Rebecca Pirkle, Atlanta, GA; Aaron Poole, Columbus, GA; Mallory Estes (Addison) Phenix City, AL; David Wren Forister, Jacksonville, FL; Holli Grace Forister, Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren, Caden Pirkle; Blake Pirkle; Alyssa Pirkle; Kati Rodgers; all of Enterprise, AL; Alli Rae Estes, Phenix City, AL; numerous nieces and nephews.
