Regina Ann George Bentley

Regina Ann George Bentley, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, and formally of Dothan, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. She was 95.



Funeral services will be held at 3:15 P.M. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Johnny Fain officiating. Burial will follow at Dothan City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.



The family will be receiving friends at the church from 2 to 3 P.M. Saturday, June 9, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to First Baptist Church, Dothan.



Mrs. Bentley was a receptionist at the Houston County Courthouse, active in First Baptist Church, serving as director of Junior department for 30 years. She was on the committee of writing history of First Baptist Church, a member of the Dothan service league and a loving wife and mother.



She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Oliver P. Bentley in 2011.



She leaves behind her daughter, Olivia Ann Tift and her husband, Thomas of Atlanta, GA; niece, Lynn Tucker of Dothan; nephew, Jud Bentley of Montgomery; whom she raised and numerous nieces and nephews.
