Mr. Paul Motley, Jr. of Coffee Springs, Alabama passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012.He was 79.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Duran Sherrer officiating.Burial will follow in the El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time.
Mr. Motley "Junior" was born April 13, 1933 in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Paul Motley Sr. and Vickie Danford Motley.After several years of service he retired from the State of Alabama as a heavy equipment operator.
In addition to his parents, three sons: Steve, Danny and Roger Motley, a daughter, Brenda Motley, a brother, Cecil Motley, as well as two sisters: Ouida Johnson and Voncille Walker all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty Jean Carr Motley, Coffee Springs; three daughters: Annette Baker (Ted), Dothan, Kathy Motley, Cullman, AL and Marsha Sanderson (Joey), Chancellor; two sons: Michael and Barron Motley, both of Enterprise; two sisters: Nita Danner, Hartford and Ernestine Morrow (Johnny), Samson; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; other extended family and friends.
