Edsel Adams

Edsel Adams, a resident of The Terrace at Grove Park, Dothan, died Tuesday morning, May 22, 2012, at Flowers Hospital. He was 85.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 26, 2012, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel.The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling, Cordova, TN 38016.
Mr. Adams was born and raised in the Wills Crossroads community of Henry County, son of the late John W. Adams and Eva Pearl Doswell Adams. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Adams lived in Cordova, Tennessee for many years until moving to Dothan in 2010.He was formerly employed by the Day Companies and Adams Plywood in Memphis, TN. Mr. Adams was a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Frances TillisAdams, Dothan; two daughters, Angelia Worrel and husband, Charles, San Antonio, Texas, Beverly Temmerman and husband, Richard, Chattanooga, Tennessee; one sister, Lucile Wills, Abbeville; two grandsons, Harrison May and Conor May, Chattanooga, Tennessee; and a sister-in-law, Nell Adams, Dothan.
