Black Bear Killed In Geneva County

Didn't think black bears existed in south Alabama. Think again!

This black bear was killed last night on Ward Street in Geneva.

A motorist actually hit the bear around 2 a.m.

It weights in at around 300 pounds.

Geneva Police provided these photos to WDHN this morning!

In recent months there have been several reports of black bears in areas around Panama City, Blountstown and Ft. Walton.
