Vernice Robison Dasinger

Vernice Robison Dasinger, a resident of Carrabelle, Florida, formerly of Echo and Headland, died Thursday afternoon, May 10, 2012, in the Big Bend Hospice of Tallahassee. She was 93.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, May 13, 2012, in the Adoniram Baptist Church Cemetery, near Shorterville, with Reverend Phil Craddock and Robert L. Kennedy officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:30 P.M. Saturday at the mortuary in Headland.Mrs. Dasinger was born and reared in the Hardwicksburg community of Henry County, daughter of the late James Manning Robison and Hattie Nola Brady Robison. She formerly lived in Headland and Echo before moving to Carrabelle in 2011. Mrs. Dasinger was retired from Wex-Tex Manufacturing Company in Headland. She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Mrs. Dasinger was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Cornelius Dasinger, a daughter, Jeanette Grantham, sons-in-law, Jimmy Trawick and Grady Croft, sisters, Annie Earl Skelton, Leitha Teal and Sallie Singletary and brothers, James Paul Robison, Willie Carl Robison and Ralph Hilton Robison.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Martha Trawick, Carrabelle, Florida; and Minnie Kate Croft, Dothan; three sons, James W. Dasinger and wife, Sheryl, Valdosta, Ga; and Jack M. Dasinger and wife, Edith, Echo community; and Robert L. Kennedy and wife, Peggy, Riverview, FL; a sister, Rachel Daughtry and husband, James, Abbeville; two brothers, John R. Robison and Harold Robison and wife, Ann, all of Abbeville; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren.
